We had the pleasure of fishing with the first prototype of this rod throughout the entire summer 2025. The rod was almost “perfect” from the start—the only issue was that it was closer to a 7WT than to a 8WT, but that was easy to fix. Now it has become a typical 8WT or 8/9WT rod, fast, deep and a pleasure to fight fish with. It will be difficult to choose between this and the 13’6 four-piece rod.
