This was another rod we enjoyed fishing with all summer 2025. It was fascinatingly light and fast, but we decided to calm it down a bit by stiffening the top sections and softening the lower sections. The rod still responds extremely quickly, but it became clearly easier to cast and gained a noticeable catapult effect. When you hold the rod in your hand and feel its weight, it is almost unbelievable that it is 6-piece and nearly 15 feet long. Many anglers will also have the “luxury issue” to choose between this rod and the 4-piece 14’6 rod, as both cast 9/10 lines exceptionally well.
